Lent 2025 Featured

Lent at Holy Family this year includes:

Ash Wednesday Mass: March 4

  • 12:15 pm
  • 7:00 pm

Ashes will be distributed at each Mass.

"24 Hours" for the Lord:

  • Friday, March 28 from 7:00 am - 9:00 pm
  • Confession will be available at both the Cathedral of the Holy Family and St. Paul's Co-Cathedral all day.
  • (Yes, we know that 7am-9pm is only 14 hours, not 24. But, since it's at two locations, it's kind of like 28 hours, which is close enough for us.)

Beloved:

  • Friday, March 7 at 7:00 - 9:00 pm
  • Friday, April 4 at 7:00 - 9:00 pm
  • See Beloved for more details.

Regularly scheduled times for the Sacrament of Reconciliation:

  • Thursdays at 7:00 - 8:30 pm (during Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament)
  • Fridays at 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
  • Saturdays at 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
  • Note: We do not have scheduled time for Reconciliation on Holy Thursday (April 17).

We will gather to pray the Stations of the Cross on Friday evenings at 7:00pm. The Stations will often be held in the Queen of Peace Chapel (down the hallway, past the washrooms, on the left).

In 2021 we prepared an online guide to pray along, featuring the beautiful carvings of the Stations from our Queen of Peace Chapel, available at:
