You have been hearing the call for several weeks about having your picture taken for our new parish photo directory. Why is this important?

Actually, it’s helpful for several reasons. How many times have you exchanged greetings with people at numerous church events, or sat near them on Sunday mornings, without knowing exactly who they are, even though you’ve seen each other across the aisle for years?

When parish staff or volunteers are compiling lists for upcoming events such as Ministry Schedules, Sacramental classes or other activities, it’s helpful to be able to connect a face with a name. Or if you ever need to contact the parish for assistance with anything, again, it’s easier for us when we can match the name to a face.

That’s where the photo directory is so important. It’s hard in a large parish like ours to know everyone as well as we’d like. Having access to a handy reference of both names and faces is a benefit for all of us, you included.
