We typically prepare children to receive the sacraments of Reconciliation (Confession) and the Eucharist (First Communion) in a single year, typically around age 7 or 8. Confirmation follows around age 11. Reconciliation preparation starts in the fall, with preparation for Confirmation and First Communion following in the winter/spring.
